Nollywood Actor, Bob Manuel Odokwu Bags Chieftaincy Title
Veteran Nollywood Actor, Bob Manuel Udokwu is the latest chief in town. The actor who hails from Ogidi in Anambra State was conferred with the the chieftaincy title of "Nze Anagba Nkili".
Read statement from the New Chief:
"The traditional ruler of my home town Ogidi in Anambra State Igwe Uzo Onyido has conferred on me the chieftaincy title of "Nze Anagba Nkili" meaning "Chief that people rush to behold" as my town's recognition of my contribution to the upliftment of the society through entertainment.
The ceremony took place yesterday Sunday 6th May 2017 at the Igwe's palace in Ogidi in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Speaking at the occasion, Igwe Onyido said that with this new title, my status in the society especially in Ogidi has been elevated to be among decision makers and opinion leaders in the town. He also prayed God to uplift me further in the society.
Responding, I pledged to use my celebrity status to work for the success of the Igwe, Ogidi town, Anambra State and Nigeria as a whole.
Four other illustrious sons of Ogidi were also honoured with various chieftaincy titles at the well attended occasion filled with pomp and pageantry.
It will be recalled that on November 16th 2015,the Igwe of Enugwu Aguleri also in Anambra State Eze Chukwuemeka Eri conferred on me the chieftaincy title of " Onye Anagba Nkili " meaning " The one who people rush to behold ".
